We Support Our Community

We support our community near and abroad through social actions, support of outside ministries, and contributions to missionaries.

Opportunities

Family2Family

Family2Family is an RTC team that seeks to find opportunities to support other families in our community. This is hands-on volunteer work that may include doing yard work or supporting a local community clothing closet.

Friendship Ministries

Friendship ministries is a weekly fellowship opportunity between RTC members and people who are differently-abled. This program includes one-on-one mentorship and meets once a week during community night.

Community Assistance Program (CAP)

Volunteers at RTC sort and deliver food and clothing to people who are unemployed and underemployed in Detroit.

Medical Lending Closet

RTC maintains a number of gently used medical items (bed rails, shower seats, wheelchairs, walkers, etc.) that are available to our community. Donations are always welcome.

Quality Living

RTC supports the quality of living program that helps families with limited means with financial planning.

Meals on Wheels

RTC members support meals by delivering meals between 11:00 AM–1:00 PM, Monday–Friday to senior citizens in the area.

Christian Services

RTC partners with Christan Services to  connect community members in need to budget assistance and church resources. Through this partnership, RTC donates cribs twice a month for mothers who have been referred from Christian Services, which ends up being up to 100 cribs per year.
